Privacy Policy

Summary: We collect only what we need to operate Church Alert. Detailed incident reports remain private to your organization unless you choose to share or export them.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, church/organization name, and role (for example: member, leader, admin).
  • Incident and security data you submit: reports, categories, notes, locations relevant to the incident, and optional attachments.
  • Usage and device data: basic logs such as IP address, timestamps, device/browser type, and pages/features used (for security and performance).
  • Support communications: messages you send to our support team.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the service (incident reporting, notifications, analytics, and exports).
  • Improve reliability, security, and performance.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.

Sharing and visibility

  • Within your organization: Access is role-based. Admins control who can view and manage information.
  • With other churches/organizations: Only certain types of information, such as brief summaries of incidents, may be shared for area awareness. Detailed reports remain private unless your organization chooses to export or share them.
  • Service providers: We may use trusted vendors (for example, hosting, email delivery) to operate Church Alert. They only receive the minimum needed to provide the service.
  • Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect safety, rights, and security.

Data security

  • We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls.
  • No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the service at your own risk.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organizations may request deletion of their account data by contacting support.

Children’s privacy

Church Alert is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above will reflect the latest version.

Terms of Use

1. Purpose and emergency disclaimer

Church Alert is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number first. The service provides reporting and awareness tools and does not guarantee outcomes.

2. Acceptable use

  • Do not submit unlawful, threatening, or misleading content.
  • Do not attempt to access other organizations’ data without authorization.
  • Do not use the service to harass individuals or encourage vigilantism.

3. Organization responsibilities

  • Your organization is responsible for controlling membership, roles, and access.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit.

4. Intellectual property

Church Alert and its branding are owned by TriVault Securities LLC. You may not copy, resell, or distribute the service except as permitted in writing.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Church Alert and TriVault Securities LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or claims arising from incidents or reliance on information shared through the service.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, suspected abuse, or to protect the service and users.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
